Common questions
What is the difference between a GPS tracker and telematics?
A GPS tracker tells you where something is. Telematics adds data about how a vehicle is used, such as trips, speed and vehicle information.
Do AI dashcams need a SIM?
Dashcams that send footage and alerts to the cloud generally need a mobile data connection, usually through a SIM.
How does fatigue detection work?
An in-cab camera uses AI to look for signs such as eye closure or head movement, then alerts the driver and can notify the fleet manager. It supports your fatigue management plan and does not replace it.
Can we track equipment with no power source?
Yes. Battery-powered trackers are made for trailers, plant and other unpowered assets. Battery life depends on how often the tracker reports.
Do we need to tell staff about in-cab cameras and tracking?
Generally yes. Workplace surveillance and privacy rules apply and vary by state, so check your obligations before rolling them out.
